I didn't feel that this was a decent sequel to Wizard's First Rule. In the first book, there was more action going on. I also hated how the characters from the first book hardly interacted with one another in this book. With the first book, Goodkind was able to pick at our brains a bit. This book I think, is weak, as he obviously decided to leave more of the humanity out and inject more magic into it. It seemed like filler until he could come out with something better, hopefully the third book.
