This funny, crazy, and touching musical is one of the best adaptations of A Christmas Carol I’ve seen. The Muppet Show team joins forces with a few human actors to tell their version of the timeless classic – and they do a great job.
Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat tell the story of Scrooge, walking in and out of the movie and providing plentiful laughs. Kermit stars as Bob Cratchit, and the unforgettable Miss Piggy plays his wife. Fozzie the bear appears as Mr. Fozziwig, and Statler and Waldorf show up as Marley ghosts, hilarious despite all their efforts to be scary. Michael Caine, who plays Scrooge, takes his part seriously and delivers a fine performance, making you feel for his character and rejoice with him when he finally understands the meaning of Christmas and changes into a happy, generous man.
This is a must-see, must-have for any Muppet Show or Dickens fan. Great for family watching!
