I have always been a huge Steven King fan. I have enjoyed Steven's writting through all of his different phases. The Mist will not only appeal to the King fan, put to people that are not. The story is one of a members of a small community being stuck in a supermarket while creatures from 'another deminsion' feed on people out in the Mist. Perhaps just as disturbing as the creatures in the Mist is the dark side of the human psychy when confronted with horror. close friends turn on each other inside the supermarket, while others become heroes. There are many twists throughout the movie. The ending especially.
