Frances was like many children today. A very picky eater. Frances liked bread and jam. She often played and sang about bread and jam.

I decided to read the book before I saw the movie. It is a very demented children book, but never failing to hold interest. I would more so recommend it for a pre-teen/11-12 year old.

Mediocre. I held just enough interest in the book to allow me to continue reading, but nothing in particular was drawing me back to it. Funke is not an incredibly intriguing writer.
