This is undoubtedly one of the best sci-fi movies of all time. Joss Whedon took his Firefly series and turned it into a masterpiece of a film.

It is a perfect combination of intense action sequences, phenomenal plot line, and the off color wit that made Firefly so wildly popular.

In particular, the film features an editing technique that adds realism even to the obviously computer generated sequences, which really helps with "suspending disbelief."

Even the first time I watched this film, without having prior knowledge of the characters, I felt empathy for the crew. The writing style is one that is used in very few movies anymore.

There is something in this movie for about everyone. Between romance, assassins, vengeance, psychopaths, ministers, zombies (sort of), space battles, and a whole bunch of computers with robot wives...what more could anyone ask for?

This is an absolute must see for any sci-fi geek, and is a great starting point for people relatively new to the genre.
