This book deals with a current topic in our society -- school shootings.
The reason the book is so good is because the perspectives in the book are from all of the people involved, not just from the shooter or one student. Why this event happened is chronicled so that by the time the shooter took action, the reader can almost understand and sympathize with them and their actions and reactions.
It strikes a chord with parents because it talks about internet use, how parents relate to their kids, and how kids want more time with us than we think they do. It talks about social pressures at school, and being popular or unpopular and how that makes people act.
This book is a pretty good read and I had a hard time putting it down. I would highly recommend it.
