Review:

This book is definitely the kind you start reading and don't stop until the last page. It captures perfectly the feelings of lust, and eventually love, between a man and a woman. The hero is a firefighter, sexy enough in itself, but when combined with the author's breathtaking descriptions, he almost leaps out of the book at you. The object of his affection is the new girl in town, a title she's used to considering the fact that her mother never could stay in one town, or with one man, for very long. She's come to his California beach town to clear up her grandmother's estate, a woman she never knew. She is there on a 6 week assignment as an EMT at his station, just long enough to clean out her grandmother's home and sell it, and move on to the next place. However, when she gets up close and personal with one amazing firefighter, she begins to think that maybe staying put wouldn't be so bad. He wants her, but he doesn't think he wants her forever. His parents died in a fire when he was a small boy, and he is scared of ever loving someone who just might get taken away. Add to this story a lively crew at the firehouse, and a pyromaniac who's on the loose setting fires all over town, and you have a perfect Friday night read. I give this book an A+.
