My baby was introduced to Elmo's World when she was a few months old. I showed it to her to distract her while she has a meal. She's really active. She was able to recognise Elmo anywhere. When I showed this book to her at the bookstore, her face just lightened up. That was when I decided to get it for her.
This touch-and-feel book tells us the story of Elmo celebrating his birthday with his Sesame Street friends. Babies love to explore different textures and sensations. My daughter likes to grate her fingernails across grooves of the accordian shown in the book. She also loves to tickle Elmo's nose on the cover of the book before turning to other pages.
The pages of this book is filled with brightly-colored, beautiful illustrations which babies enjoy. My daughter now recognizes a few other Sesame Street characters besides Elmo. It's great for kids already well-acquainted with Sesame Street.
I had wanted to introduce to her the birthday party theme before she turned one and have one of her own. Although my daughter has not had much experience with birthdays, but she she understands the concept of music and dance. As long as she's happy with the book, it's all that matters. I recommend this book to all babies turning one and going to have a birthday party soon.
