District 9

In "District 9", an alien spaceship has come to rest over Johannesburg, South Africa. After an extended period of time waiting for something to happen which never does, the government decides to drill into the spaceship to try and make "first contact". In doing so, they discover that the aliens are malnourished and without a way to go home. The government decides to build a camp for the aliens, known as District 9, to house the aliens until they decide a better course of action. After 20 years, the citizens of Johannesburg have had enough of the aliens and want them moved. It becomes the charge of MNU (Multi-National United) to move them to a new home, 200km outside of Johannesburg. This is when the main story line of the movie takes place.

Bad horror movie. I was guffawing all the time.

We all know that lord of the rings is geeky but Harry Potter??? yes wizardry can increase the intellect. Laugh out Loud. but seriously harry potter can teach kids to go to school.

In the aftermath of the Wrath Of Khan the Enterprise is badly beaten and they are short one vulcan. Spock has been killed sacrificing himself to the save the Enterprise.

Now this is a really great movie. Set after the Original Series, it brings back Kirk's old Nemesis Khan.

Remember that lovely Neil Gaiman book, and the corresponding 3-D movie. Impressive and frightening on the big screen, the home version of the film is nearly as good.

seeing as how reviewparty.com didn't have a 'horror' section for any dvds, i had to stick this under another category for the movie "dead silence".

so this actually a horror movie, so there was no 'horror' category, so i'll make due with whats here. can i just say that dead silence is one of the scariest movies i have ever seen.

Star Trek : TNG is one of my all time favourite TV series. As I have always enjoyed shows with a SF or fantasy bent, this is not surprising.
