Fool's Gold

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
This was a great movie, with a little bit of everything. A little bit of a love story, a lot of action, and a little bit of comedy. Also, for all you Matthew McConaughey fans, he was just nice to look at.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Red Eye (Wes Craven)

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
Horror movies can be terribly clichéd. The genre has, in recent years, been overrun with either PG-13 hack-and-slash routines, or over the top ultra-violent films that bank more on shock value than on real substance. Unfortunately, the audience craving for such shlock often relegates films that try something new and different to the 'failure' pile, critically at least if not financially. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
What’s covered with fuzz, blazing hot, British, and unexpectedly funny?

There are two possible answers to this question: the first is a Teletubbie on fire; the second is the movie Hot Fuzz, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost the duo of Shaun of the Dead fame.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

The Mist

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
I have always been a huge Steven King fan. I have enjoyed Steven's writting through all of his different phases. The Mist will not only appeal to the King fan, put to people that are not. The story is one of a members of a small community being stuck in a supermarket while creatures from 'another deminsion' feed on people out in the Mist.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

The Mist - A Foggy Review

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
Being an experienced film-connoisseur (read: movie junkie), I have seen my share of good films and bad films, as well as films that inflict mortal wounds in organs that somehow never heal. This film, however, was not such a film. I went with the expectation of another cookie-cutter Hollywood horror in which the killer(s) are eventually beaten and their evil plan foiled. These films usually also include comedy-relief characters that end up either dieing or surviving with a rather painful-looking severed limb. These horror movies (read: garbage) are usually produced for about $70 million as they need to pay the A-grade actors to simply appear. However, I was very surprised by The Mist to have none of these stereotypical elements.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

National Treasure 2 - Book of Secrets

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
The movie begins with Ben Gates setting out on another action filled "treasure hunt." The object of his obsession in this movie is the lost 18 pages from the diary of John Wilkes Booth, Abraham Lincoln's assassin. Ed Harris' character, Jeb Wilkinson has already discovered one of the missing pages with the names of the conspirators to the assassination of Lincoln. Thomas Gates, the great-great-grandfather of Ben Gates, is listed as one of the conspirators. This discovery puts the Gates name in jeopardy once again and sends Ben on a quest to salvage his family's reputation. Amidst the numerous leads and adventures, he learns that there is a secret book that holds all of the information he needs. The book is coined the "book of secrets" and has been passed down from president to president. The book is basically the equivalent of the presidential diary, so of course he has to kidnap the president to get it..............<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Kingdom of Heaven: 4-Disc Director's Cut

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
The Film - For anyone who has only seen the theatrical version of this film (or hasn't seen it at all), look no further than this magnificent 4-disc director's cut package. THIS is the definitive version of Kingdom of Heaven. Complete story lines and characters had been omitted from the theatrical edit in order to satisfy the studio demand for a shorter running time. Shorter movie = more showings per day = more revenue. Thankfully we have now been freed from this time restraint and are treated to the version of the film Ridley Scott intended to release from the beginning. Complete with an overture and intermission, the film has been given the deluxe, road show treatment here. I will say no more of the plot to avoid any spoilers; suffice it to say, if historical, epic action films are your cup of tea you owe it to yourself to check this out.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

The Sopranos, Season Six, Part 2

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
If you are a fan of the Sopranos then you cannot miss this conclusion. Last year, Tony nearly died when he was shot my his uncle Junior who is now in an institution for the criminally insane. There are many things running through Tony's mind. He knows he has been given a second chance at life but he also faces many problems at home with his Carmela, AJ and Meadow as well as the people that surround and "insulate" him. Tony is questioning the allegiances of all of his associates. I will not spoil the ending, but the time is running out for someone!!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

The Good Sheperd Movie Review

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
The Good Sheperd
While this movie had quite a good story line and a lot of good posibilites I feel it just didnt do itself justice. It all moved so slowy and I was quite bored most of the time. I did persist and watched it throught till the end, and ended up feeling a bit depressed and sad for Edward Wilson-Matt Damons Character. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
Am I the only excited person on this planet about Indy 4?! I can not wait for the fourth installement, which starts filming June 18th 2007 with the lovely Harrison Ford.

I love the Indiana Jones Trilogy and when I first heard that Spielberg was creating the fourth, tears of happiness emerged! A while to wait before we can actually view this wonder in full cinema experience as its release date is due to be Thursday 22nd May 2008. I guess we do have to give them time to film though!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
