Lamb Of God- Wrath

I for one have always loved Lamb Of God for the bands unique style and thier ability to appeal to most people without having to dumb down thier views or messages. In thier newest release, Wrath, they have once again reminded us all why we love metal. The album fully demonstrates the full potential of each member in a new and interesting style.

However if you are looking for the tight and controlled sound that was featured in thier last album, Sacrament, I hate to say it but you're going to be a little disappointed. The band has stated in interviews that they wanted this album to be a more clean and sophisticated follow up to thier previous work. Gone is the heavy distortion which is now replaced with clean yet raw riffs free of any distortion and longer vocal sequences that stray from the normal deep tones that frequents other albums from Lamb Of God. All in all though, I do recommend this album to any fan, new or old. Even though the band decided to change it up it is still definitely a Lamb Of God album worthy of being played over and over on the way to work. I give it four stars. Buy it. listen to it and let me know what you think.
