The Cat enters the door mentions that he is writing book all about Mammals then he states that a bat,a chimp,mole,raccoon and baboons all are mammals the drawing show the cat walking in with each of the animals he mentions. The cat explains the characteristics of mammals such as Mammals breathe air and are warm, Some have a lot of hair and some have a little. The Cat in Hat describes different textures of the hair that mammals posses,different environments and living conditions that mammals adapt to. The various functions like can perform such as hopping, jumping, swimming and gliding are a few examples. The book tells you the world's smallest mammal to the most largest mammal it contains fascinating and significant animal facts. Best of the all this particular book has a glossary of words that are found throughout the book to help kids with the understanding and definitions of such words as omnivore, hibernation, and breach.
