Across the Universe (Deluxe Edition)

Across the Universe (Deluxe Edition) is the soundtrack for the movie of the same name.

All the songs on this album were originally written and performed by the Beatles. The versions included on the album have been re-recorded specifically for the movie.

On the first disc, there are 13 tracks, including: "I Want to Hold Your Hand," "Let It Be," "All my loving," and "With a Little Help From My Friends."
Disc two includes: "I Am The Walrus," "Strawberry Fields Forever," "Hey Jude," and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."
Covering artists include: Bono, Dana Fuchs, Jim Sturgess, Eddie Izzard, and Evan Rachel Wood.

For me, most covers are lacking that indefinable IT factor that makes the original so good. I was pleasantly surprised, finding that all of the songs were sung with a respect for the original artists, while the singers added their own touch.

This album has rapidly become one of my favorite soundtracks. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes The Beatles, good music, or soundtracks.
