Paulo Coelho is a famed author, most noteably for his bestseller The Alchemist. Being a fan of The Alchemist I picked up The Devil and Miss Prym which discusses, through story, the topic of good versus evil.
The story is well written and certainly an easy read with lots of descriptions. Coelho leaves you with a firm idea of the setting and the characters - not only of the physical aspects, but of their emotions and states of mind. He leaves you feeling connected with many of the characters and torn in two directions, the good versus the evil. But that's about where it ends.
The tale is a good read, and Coelho gets his point across, but it's not riveting...it's almost anti-climactic actually. Towards the end the tale falls a bit flat and everything gets put a little too neatly in to place. If you're an established fan of the author's work, then it's worth a read. But don't make this your first Paulo Coelho book, as he has more to offer than this one might lead you to believe.
